Polson House CURRENT WORK

Polson House    This prominent Queen Anne residence was designed by Seattle architects Timotheus Josenhans and Norris B. Allen and completed in 1906. Owned by the same family for over 90 years, this Craftsman style home retains much of its original detailing. It was recently purchased by a new family and Marvin Anderson Architects is pleased to be working with them in the preservation of this fine home. In addition to restoring the architectural detailing, we are collaborating with the owners to sensitively update the kitchen and add livable outdoor space that is sympathetic to the character of the house.

Parker Fersen House

Parker-Fersen House    Designed in 1909 by architect - builder Frederick Sexton, the Parker-Fersen house is one of Seattle's most prominent historic residences. Now a Seattle Landmark, this large Colonial Revival house on Capitol Hill still features many of its original details. Marvin Anderson Architects is proud to be working with the current owners of this home to preserve and restore architectural detailing and to sensitively update the home's kitchen for contemporary family life.

Paul Residence

Paul Residence    Noted Seattle architect J. Lister Holmes designed the Paul Residence in early 1929 for a site overlooking Puget Sound. With a traditional brick Tudor exterior and gracious formal rooms punctuated by Art Deco detailing, the house exhibits stylistic eclecticism characteristic of the period. We are currently working with the home's new owners to renovate the interiors, connect exterior terraces to the extensive landscape, and construct an architecturally compatible addition that will include a new Kitchen, Great Room and Garage.

Capitol Hill House

Capitol Hill Residence    This distinguished Federal style residence on Capitol Hill was built in 1915 and still features original gracious paneled interiors. It was recently purchased by a family with whom we have enjoyed working on four past projects. We are pleased to be collaborating with them again to respectfully update this beautiful home.
